Don't miss out on Christine Patton's game-changing talk on mental health this Saturday

In this episode of Business Matters, presented by Valley First, a division of First West Credit Union, host Rob Cupello is joined by Christine Patton, Founder of Power Within.

Patton is here to speak about her upcoming talk at the Ignite the Magic of Your Mind event this Saturday, May 6 at UBCO, focused on raising awareness, providing tools, inspiration and recognition of mental health and wellness.

Patton, a dynamic speaker and coach, is among the six expert presenters who will help you unlock your full potential and achieve your goals.

The Power Within founder is no stranger to making big life decisions. From quitting her high-paying job as a lawyer to raise her kids, to moving across the country from Ontario to British Columbia, she is one of the rare cases of someone practicing what they preach.

What does she believe is the biggest struggle that stops people from making changes in their lives?

“Themselves,” she says pointedly.

“People say why does this keep happening to me? Why me? Because it is you!”

During her upcoming talk at the Ignite the Magic of Your Mind event, Patton will be exploring the root causes of mental health challenges, rather than just treating the symptoms.

"There comes a point when we need to stop just pulling people out of the river. We need to go upstream and find out why they're falling in." This quote by Reverend Desmond Tutu is particularly meaningful to her, and she will be discussing its importance to her this Saturday.
