Bronze medal win for the U15 Tier 2 Kelowna Rockets!

The final buzzer has sounded and the 2023 BC Hockey Championships have officially come to a close.

Over four action-packed days, nine U15 Tier 2 Hockey teams from all over BC battled fiercely at the Capital News Centre (CNC) for the coveted 2023 BC Championship title.

The competition was tough and all the teams brought their A game to the tournament but one team had to come out on top.

We would like to highlight the performance of the U15 Tier 2 Kelowna Rockets team who kick-started the tournament winning against the Peninsula Eagles (7-1), Fort St John (4-1), Cranbrook (10-1).

Despite a loss in their fourth game against Sea to Sky ( 3-6 ), the Rockets still qualified for the semi finals against Port Coquitlam!

After four intense days of hockey, the Rockets proudly took home the Bronze after winning their final game against the Greater Trail Smokies with an impressive score of 6-3.

Just one point separated the winner and the runner up in the nail biting final showdown. But in the end, Port Coquitlam came out on top with a score of 5-4 against Sea to Sky.

All the teams showed incredible skill and put on an exceptional performance. They have all done themselves, their team and coaches proud.
