The Tide began the weekend with a convincing 16-8 blowout win, buoyed by a four RBI, one home run performance from first baseman Ryan Deagle. Starting pitcher Kevin Morgan would earn the win in game one, allowing four runs with eight strikeouts over five innings of work.

Victoria would follow-up with a 6-2 win in game two on Saturday thanks in-part by seven errors committed by UFV, leading to five of the six Golden Tide runs. Third baseman Jordan Bond would record the lone RBI for the winning side, while starting pitcher Cameron Dun earned the win, allowing just one run and striking out seven over six innings pitched.

A ninth-inning single by shortstop Brandon Green would give the Tide their third win of the weekend in their first home game of the season on Sunday at Royal Athletic Park.

It was a back-and-forth contest throughout, with UFV and Victoria both holding multi-run advantages late into the game. Reliever Tristian Bolger would earn the win after allowing one run over one inning of work, while starter Ethan Mark allowed six runs on five hits while striking out five over seven innings pitched.

The Tide would then wrap-p the weekend and seal the four game sweep with a 9-7 win over the Cascades on Sunday. Catcher Jai Berezowski led the way with four RBI on a pair of doubles, while Brett Paterson earned the win on the mound, allowing three runs over five innings.

Victoria is set to be back on the diamond this weekend as they travel to Lethbridge, AB to take on the Prairie Baseball Academy Dawgs for a four game series beginning Saturday, Apr. 8.
