Langford has played host to a number of national rugby events over the past decade, including the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series from 2015 until it was relocated to Vancouver in 2023.

Rugby Canada is excited to see an international event return to the Island:

“Not only is it a fitting venue for the most prestigious event in our region this year, but it will also provide our unions who do not compete on the HSBC Sevens circuit with a glimpse of what it is like at the next level,” said RAN president George Nicholson in a press release. “We are always seeking to ensure that our product is of the highest quality that we can achieve with the resources that we have, and with Rugby Canada stepping up to host this event, we are certain that we will achieve that goal.”

Teams representing 13 nations from across North America and the Caribbean will be in attendance at the tournament this summer, including Team USA, Mexico, Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, and many more along with Team Canada.

The tournament will run from Aug 19 to 20 at Starlight Stadium in Langford.
