UPDATE: Power restored to hundreds of customers west of Hwy 97

(UPDATE: Sept. 5 at 7:43 am): Power has now been restored, according to BC Hydro.

The Crown corporation has not revealed what caused the outage.

(Original story: Sept. 5 at 6:22 am): Hundreds of customers are without power south of Peachland and west of Summerland this morning.

BC Hydro said it is investigating the cause of the outage.

There are 667 customers affected.

The outage began early this morning.
