BC Transit bus driver assaulted by teen in Langford

The West Shore RCMP is investigating an assault of a BC Transit bus driver back in April.

The incident took place on April 21, 2023 at 2:44 pm, at the 850 block of Station Avenue.

At the time of the assault, the bus was stopped at the Station Avenue bus exchange. A youth suspect allegedly assaulted the driver after a verbal altercation.

“Public transportation should be a safe experience for both passengers and drivers. Investigators are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying this suspect,” said Cst. Andrew Matheson, West Shore RCMP Media Relations Officer.

The suspect is described as:

• Caucasian male;
• Youth between 13-18 years old;
• About 5 ft 11 inches tall;
• Brown medium-length wavy/curly hair;
• Wearing a brown and black two-tone jacket, grey backpack, and carrying a skateboard;

Police are asking anyone who can identify the suspect to contact the West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264.
