Calling on our Community! Please join us for a family friendly afternoon of live Artworks, Silent Auction, Music, Wine, Appetizers, Fabulous Prize Draws, activities for kids and COMMUNITY ~ all to benefit the journey towards Mia's Ride.
FAMILY FUN DAY!
Bring the whole family (even the dog!) down to Grizzli Winery for a delightful Saturday Afternoon - benefitting the goal of securing Mia's Ride.
Attendees will experience:
-several local talented Artists on location-a vast selection of Silent Auction Items-delicious nibbles-award winning wines-Raffle prizes for a Staycation, Concert Tickets, Artwork and More!-CHILDMINDING in the dedicated Kid Zone!
KID ZONE:Kids will be entertained with "magic" tricks, by special guest magician, Jonah Tariq, followed by snacks and a movie on the big screen! Be sure to bring your coziest blanket and favourite stuffy!
IN-EVENT PURCHASES:Raffle Tickets, Auction Items, and Donations payable by cheque, cash or e-transfer. Cash Bar, Bottles of Wine & Vendor Items payable by etransfer, cash or Credit Card.

If you haven't met Mia yet, she will melt your heart! Mia is a joyful 8 year old who lives in West Kelowna with her twin sister and parents. Mia suffers from severe Cerebral Palsy, affecting all aspects of her life including her hearing and speech, and confining her to a wheelchair. Every day poses a new challenge for Mia and her family, but getting around is especially cumbersome.
The current family vehicle is not adapted (or adaptable) for a wheelchair, and several times a day Mia's mom manually lifts Mia in and out of her wheelchair, and then manually loads and unloads the heavy wheelchair.
After 2 years of research, scouring classified ads and gathering quotes, the family has determined the most suitable vehicle for their particular needs. With their regular trips to the Vancouver Children's Hospital, it needs to be reliable.
The cost of the van and conversion is $108,000. They have raised around $9600 so far so we have a big goal!
