Get ready to rock n’ roll eighties style on the green with an exciting and zany day of 18-hole Texas Scramble, music on the tee-boxes, a concert festival, and costume and golf prizes. “We had a great turnout in 2019,” said organizer Brad Krauza. “It was heartbreaking to have to cancel the 2020 and 2021 events, however, we are thrilled to be back at it with our 4th annual golf tournament event set for June 17th, 2023.” The 2019 golf tournament raised $8500 for MusiCounts, putting musical instruments into the hands of children in the community who could not otherwise afford them. Fundraising for the 2023 tourney will continue to support community music programs through the Gonzo Fundraising Association—whose purpose is artist & event, development and production. “Along with donating to MusiCounts, we have also supported families and independent music instructors in the Okanagan by funding their children’s music lessons for a season,” said. Krauza. The event is not only about doing something good for the community, but also about having fun and getting to network with music industry professionals, musicians, and fans. Golf registration for the all-day event are $300 per person and includes 18 holes of golf, a golf cart, a 2023 Gonzofest concert ticket (with option to purchase more), plus a burger and beer at the beautiful Sunset Ranch Golf & Country Club in Kelowna, BC. Registration is at 10:00 AM, with an 11:00 AM shotgun start on Saturday, June 17th. This event always sells out early.
