The rain held off for the most part as nearly 70 participants dressed in their fine clothing and rode motorcycles for the 2024 Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride on Sunday.
The annual event is held to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health.
Participants donned their Sunday best while riding vintage-styled motorcycles around Kelowna.
The event took place across the world in 121 countries, including 31 rides across Canada.
In Kelowna, the 66 participants raised a little more than $23,000 towards the cause.

Riders in Kelowna met and took off from M&M Performance on McCurdy Place before returning to the starting point in the afternoon.
Local businesses partnered with the event this year as there was lunch courtesy of Milestones, free haircuts from Sport Clips, treats from 350 bakehouse, a pellet smoker giveaway from Andre’s Electronics and M&M Performance provided space for the gathering.

“We have ridden with each other on the same day all around the world since 2012,” said Mark Hawwa, founder and director of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, in a statement.
“Our community is one that comes together, despite borders and oceans, riding side by side to raise increasingly critical funds and awareness for men’s mental health and prostate cancer.”
