Over a half dozen charges have been approved by the Federal Crown against a BC resident.
A news release from a BC RCMP spokesperson says Saedy Jones of Nakusp has been charged with seven counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
According to the RCMP, the charges were the result of two investigations from May and June 2023.
“These charges were due to the excellent and proactive work of the Slocan Lake RCMP officer,” says Cpl. Thomas Gill, detachment commander for the Nakusp/Slocan Lake RCMP.
“It is a priority for the Nakusp and Slocan Lake RCMP Detachments to keep illicit drugs from entering our community, and away from the most vulnerable in the community, our youth.”
The release says Jones’ first court date is scheduled for May 15, 2024.
