An air quality warning remains in place for the Kelowna area early this morning, but that could change when the Province provides an update shortly.
Smoke is certainly the main thing lingering over the forecast for the next 48 hours, as it’s otherwise expected to be a mostly-pleasant summer weekend.

A high of 31°C is expected today and there’s a chance of much-needed showers in the afternoon. Unfortunately, they could come with some strong wind gusts and thunderstorms.
Sunday will be a little more straight forward with sunshine and a slightly cooler high of 28°C. Overnight lows for both days are expected to be in the mid-teens.
As for the smoke – radar predictions indicate that Kelowna won’t see any kind of smoke level like Thursday over the next two days.
The skies could get a little hazier this afternoon, but there’s also the possibility of the smoke clearing for extended periods over the latter half of the weekend.
