Kelowna weather: Increasing cloudiness and wind later in the day

It’s a beautiful, sunny start to the day and it will stay that way until the afternoon.

Environment Canada calls for blue skies and sunshine all morning as it crawls up to a high of 30°C today.

However, clouds will begin to roll in around 3 pm and the wind will pick up as well, the weather agency says.

Expect northwesterly winds around 20 km/h increasing to 30 km/h around dinner time, with gusts between 40-50 km/h.

There’s also a slim chance of showers later on, with Environment Canada indicating a 30% chance of precipitation beginning around 9 pm.

The overnight low is 14°C.
